Computer Won't Turn On? Here's What to Check
You press the power button and nothing happens.
No Windows screen. No familiar startup sound. Maybe you get a blinking light, a black screen, or the fans spin for a second and stop.
If your computer won't turn on, don't assume the computer is completely dead just yet.
The problem could be as simple as a loose power cable, a bad charger, a display issue, or an external device interfering with startup. Other times, the problem may involve the battery, power supply, storage drive, memory, motherboard, or another internal component.

1. Make Sure the Computer Is Actually Getting Power

5. Make Sure It's Not Just the Monitor

If you can hear fans running or see lights on the computer but nothing appears on the screen, check the monitor.

The monitor is turned on
Its power cable is connected
The display cable is firmly connected
The monitor is set to the correct input
